Lasauvage Church

The route to the Lasauvage Church runs for one kilometer along the hillside through the mining village of Lasauvage to the Church stop. This route was used to transport iron ore and, just as it is today, was electrified.

The “Kirche” stop is the only stop on this route.

This is where trains—usually hauled by a diesel locomotive—are turned around so they can head back toward Lasauvage Carreau.

Interested visitors also have the option of taking a walk through Lasauvage to return to the mine site and visit the “Espace Muséologique Lasauvage” museum along the way.
