MMR 31

The locomotive is believed to have arrived in Rodange after the Ottange II mine closed. Since the MMR had a 740 mm gauge here, the locomotive had to be re-gauged before it could enter service. The locomotive has the road number 31.

A letter from the MMR to the Mining Administration (May 13, 1970) reveals that the MMR received a total of two such locomotives from the Ottange II Mine. The MMR received three additional Jeumont locomotives (18 metric tons, 250 PS) from the Nondkeil Mine.

Until 2008, the locomotive stood as a monument in Lasauvage. Through an exchange, the locomotive came into the possession of the Minièresbunn.

The reason for this exchange: This locomotive is still intact, so there are virtually no obstacles to its future restoration.
