The locomotive was built in 1895 by Krauss in Munich for the Steinfort Ironworks. Around 1940, the locomotive was transferred to the Ideal leather factory in Wiltz, in northern Luxembourg. There, it was converted to a 800 mm gauge.

Later, however, the locomotive was purchased from a scrap dealer by a private individual (H. Baldauff) and was thus saved from being scrapped.

In 2001, the Luxembourg National Monuments Service acquired the locomotive, and it underwent a major inspection in Meiningen. There, it was re-gauged to 700 mm and fitted with a new boiler.
The locomotive has been in service with Minièresbunn since 2004.

The locomotive in the shed at its last private owner’s property, before it became the property of the Service des sites et monuments nationaux
